L has been working with dogs professionally since 2015, starting as a daycare attendant and quickly moving up to manage multiple daycares in Edmonton and Calgary. Yikes! Dogs started in 2021 focusing on private decompression walks for reactive dogs and evolved into training focused group off leash dog walks. Requiring consistency in their groups every week allows each dog to learn a routine and build strong habits of pro-social behavior and off leash skills. L is currently also teaching puppy classes at a highly rated local training and daycare facility called Sherwood Barks.

Community & Consumer Protection
Yikes! Dogs was founded in October of 2021, and from there, we have grown and built a solid foundation in our community. The dog care industry is unregulated and consumers are not protected. Too often, people’s pets are unknowingly handled by inexperienced people who use forceful techniques, disrespect, and put dogs into situations that cause fear, anxiety and stress. This often results in long term behavioural side effects. Yikes! Dogs has taken the knowledge of these situations and has fully committed to creating a dog care service that transparently treats dogs and people with kindness, compassion, and respect.
Hiring someone to care for your dog is a big step for many people. Filtering through dog care professionals can be stressful, and finding someone trustworthy can be a job in itself. I am not your everyday average dog professional. I fully commit my livelihood to caring for and nurturing my client’s dogs like they were my own.
